Dirty Dog Manufacturing was created in July of 2002 by Kent and Linda (Enquist) Vandenbranden in the Northeastern Minnesota town of Ely. A small town rich in mining history. For several generations the wives of miners spent many back breaking hours futiley trying to remove the red colored stains from their husbands mining clothes. These stains were created by the Iron rich, red colored dirt surrounding the area, called Iron Ore. This potent soil is what gives "Authentic Iron Ore Wear" it's beautiful, deep orange hue.

All garments are actually individually hand-dyed with 100% Iron Ore, right here in Ely, Minnesota!

The true star of Dirty Dog, however, is our goofy but lovable chocolate lab Roy. Roy has been put in a few compromising positions for the sake of art, but his grudge lasts about as long as it takes to get him a treat.
